An unusual case of bird song

Artists are constantly trying to break the boundaries in a constant attempt to be the new trend setter. And sometimes the results can be a little embarrassing let alone pretentious.

But French artist Celeste Boursier-Mougenot has managed to carefully balance the fine line between interesting and unique art and pretentious, pointless art.

Her latest ‘piece’ consists of 40 zebra finches jamming on electric guitars and symbols.

This extraordinary piece of work can be seen in The Curve art space at the Barbican in London. The guitars act as perches for the birds while the cymbals are bird feeders.

As the birds fly and land on the instruments and walk about or peck on them, a unique sound is created.
Well, it’s certainly different.
