Experiment to give your work more integrity and scope

Experimentation is extremely important when it comes to getting better at your art. Whether you are a musician, painter, writer or artist of any kind, it is a natural part of your artistic ambitions to want to contribute something new.

Originality is hard to come by, but artists that strive to offer something different are invariably those that are considered the most important by posterity. This doesn’t necessarily guarantee fame and fortune, but it does tend to lend your work more integrity.

This is not the only way experimentation can benefit your artistic process. It may also help you to discover new ways of doing things that complement the way you approach your work and improve the effect of your results.
