Manchester Metropolitan University’s Degree Show
About a month ago I attended Manchester Metropolitan University’s degree show. It showcased a range of work from a lot of different art and design courses. These included Fashion, Textiles, Illustration and Embroidery.
Whilst looking around you could see why Manchester now rivals London on the design front.
One particular course stood out from the rest. Textiles Design For Fashion which is a new course that only started in 2005 and had its first graduate students last year. As an art lover I found that these students explored the boundaries of fashion and textiles amongst other things and created a great road ahead for the future of fashion.
I look forward to seeing next years’ graduates.
