Tools used in art

The tools that are used in art vary, depending on the type of art which is being carried out. The main type of tools include paintbrushes and a pallet of wax colours. The paintbrushes are very fine, slim brushes which are gentle on the drawing board, allowing the artist careful colouring. The second type of tools is water colour. These are for sketchings that appear ‘watery’ like (I.e., ponds, rivers, streams etc). Some artists whom sketch people’s portraits use either very fine, sharpened pencils, or felt pens (the pencils allow a finer sketch, whereas the felt pens allow a ‘chunkier’ one).
